Baseball is one of the greatest sports in America. A lot of people say it is boring but it is the opposite if that and the only reason they say its boring is because they don't understand the game. There are 30 MLB teams and they slpit them in two leagues National and American and for the chamnpionship only one team from each division face each other. of course you have to be the best team in the league in order to go to the championship. In order to get to the play offs you either have to have the best record in your division which is only 6 teams or have the second best record in your league. The team with the second best record plays another team that has the third best record in your league or have the same record as them.

That game is win or go home so the winner goes on to face another team and that series will be 3 games out of 5.So the first team to win 3 games goes on to the semi finals. Then that series is 4 games out of 7 so the first team to win 4 games are their leagues champions. So if the team is in the National league the team that won would be National league champions. That doesn't mean they won the championship they go on to face the American league champions.

The two teams that won go on to face each other for the world series which is the championship. That game is also 4 games out of 7 so that means the first team with 4 wins are the world series champions.
